Healing Qigong

Over 20 years ago, I took my first Healing Qigong class. The results of just 20 minutes of practicing this form were impressive to me; my world changed completely. I decided that not a single day would pass without Qigong in my life.

Healing Qigong brought me stability, inner peace, a clear mind, and a new perspective on health. By balancing my meridians and releasing stagnations and blockages, I became healthier than Western medicine could have made me.

First, I recovered from the burnout I was experiencing, and peace returned to my mind. I slept better, the worrying stopped, and my agoraphobia vanished. The more I practiced, the more I healed; old injuries healed, and even the scoliosis in my back straightened out, and since then my back has been straight again.

My eyes have healed; I no longer need glasses. The flu, colds, and infections I used to get every year never returned. And I’m sure there are other things that have healed that I’m not even aware of. My immune system is functioning optimally, and so is my body’s ability to heal itself.

I first took weekly group classes, and later attended workshops and private lessons with Dutch and Chinese masters in this style of Qigong. I reject the strictness of some of my Chinese teachers.

I follow a Western approach to training that combines Qigong practice, studying the Tao Te Ching (Chinese philosophy), and self-examination through analytical psychology. In my experience, this yields the best and fastest results for those seeking healing of body and mind.

Healing Qigong
Healing Qigong involves practicing with Qi to heal the body and mind. The result is a healthy and flexible body, a strong immune system, and a clear, calm mind.

Healing Qigong consists of a series of exercises in a specific sequence, a form, in which you open all the meridians and allow the Qi to flow freely again. Blockages and stagnations in body and mind dissolve.
The body’s self-healing capacity is strengthened by practicing Qigong. This gives illness, pain, and injuries a better opportunity to heal.

Healing Qigong has a preventive effect; by practicing daily, the Qi continues to flow freely, so that disturbances caused by emotions or external factors have less impact on us.

Healing Qigong is for everyone, with or without experience. It is a good form to start with. Healing Qigong can be practiced sitting, standing, or in the mind.
